Garden/patio decor ideas for parents who live in Florida? I am wanting to buy something for my Mom and Mother-in-law's Birthday. So I need some ideas and/or online shop to order it from.
Mystery home and garden decor.....what are these? I posted a link to the picture on the bottom. I got these stands for free and love them but I am not sure what they are. The previous owner said she used them as a bird bath until she noticed the finish inside the bowl peeling so I guess they aren't water safe. They are about 18 inches tall. Anybody know what they are supposed to be used as or have any suggestions to what I should use them for? http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j279/jlo12500/100_0800.jpg

Where can I sell my items without going broke? I am a craftsperson. I made windchimes, suncatchers, yard-stakes, and many other home and garden decor items. I have been to several of the trade shows and have always done well there, but they are SO EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE! I've also tried many different retail craft shows, but I almost always end up spending either more time & energy or more money than they are worth at those! I honestly feel like people like my things, and that they would buy them, but how can I get myself out there to be seen now that I'm broke? Any advise is welcomed!!!!

Can you help me plan my birthday party? My birthday is coming up and we are settled on a garden party with a barbecue etc. I always try to do something different - last year my cake was a pyramid made of swiss rolls - and I need some suggestions for this year. I'm looking for: 1) Food and drinks recipes (perhaps non-alcoholic cocktails for my younger guests and those driving) that may be quite obscure but truly scrumptious; 2) Things for my guests to do. I thought about a guestbook for messages. Any other ideas? 3) Decor. I don't really want a theme, but if you know of some affordable garden furniture available in UK or other garden items, I would appreciate your help. On your marks, get set..............start planning! And what gifts do I ask for?

European Garden Theme Wedding?? Need some advice? We finally decided on a theme for our wedding. My fiance is wearing a kilt, so we wanted something Scottish or European to fit with the kilt. We finally settled on a European or British Garden theme and here's what I have so far: Colors (to match kilt): Navy blue and champagne with light blue and ivory accents Flowers: Hydrangeas, ivory roses, peonies, rannunculas (sp?) and ivy Favors: Plantable blue paper hearts that double as escort cards - they grow wildflowers when you plant the paper in the ground. Bridesmaids: Tea length satin bubble dresses in navy blue with champagne sashes Groomsmen: Black tuxes with navy blue or champagne vests (haven't decided yet) I'm looking for more ways to tie in the theme with the decor for the reception and the ceremony. We'll probably do bunches of flowers tied to the ends of the chairs for church decorations, but does anyone have anymore suggestions? Unique ideas? Thanks!
What are some rare and expensive orchids? I don't have a lot of experience with orchids but do have a lot of experience with landscaping and gardening and was thinknig of starting to grow orchids as a hobby with hopes of maybe having a small side business selling them to florists, wedding planners, restaurants for decor and things like that. What are the most rare or sought after or most expensive orchid or hibiscus plants I could get seeds for and grow?
Need french country decor and accents for daughters room, where can I get??? I just asked a question about what a great way to do a theme for my daughters room. She will be 1 1/2 and getting into her toddler bed, and I wanted a theme that wasnt artoony and would last till at least 5. Well I got a great answer about a french/country tea party garden. Where can I find crib matress sized linnens and what colors would I use on walls and bedding and drapes? I dont want wild colors or anything. Simple luxurious fabrics and colors please. As of now she has tan burber carpet but I think I want to switch to bamboo hardwood. Her furniture is cherry so would a sandy/medium brown wood color be ok with that? Any thoughts on where to find some great decor to go along. Please nothing to "childish". I'd like it to be tasteful yet fun and classy. Not beyond her age, just not like dora the explorer type stuff.

We have apinted before we knew whether or not she was a boy or girl so the paint was neutral. I would like to throw some more girly colors in there. And I really love like super super light lavendary colors.
pond decor?? does anyone know any wedsites that have ideas, tips photos for garden ponds??
What kind of flower is this? I saw this in an old issue of Better Homes & Gardens while waiting for the doctor. The best way that I can describe it, is that it looked like a brown stick that branched out and grew very small, yellow flowers. I thought it was beautiful, and I want to have it painted in my room, but I need to find a picture of it in order to do so. If it helps at all, a common theme in this room was Asian decor and Asian flowers. Please help! Thanks so much.

Highway 99, south of Sacramento, giant bronze T-rex. Seen it? I was driving from Sacramento, south on 99 when I saw a garden decor shop and out in the back was this huge T-rex sculpture in bronze. It was incredible. After two days of driving, I'd forgotten the store's location on the way back up to Sacramento, and looked for it, but couldn't find it. I don't recall if it was south of Stockton or perhaps Fresno. Please, if you know, tell me the town it's in if not the name of the store. Thanks
My dog is pissing me off. Help!!!? I have a year old lab/greyhound mix that has an enormously large backyard, lots of soft and hard chew toys and 3 friends to play with (one dog, two cats). He won't stop chewing my blankets, garden decor and other things. He also won't stop digging. And it's not that it's hot or that there are animals we need to worry about. It is totally pissing me off and I have no idea how to stop it. I have tried putting him on a lead and he just digs holes around him bc he's pissed off. We have tried giving him the run of the backyard with a warm place to go to sleep in. We have tried many things. HELP!!! I have tried keeping him in the house but then he chews on blankets, gets in the trash. I would love to take him to obedience training except that he know how to sit, walk on a leash, and all the fun tricks they learn at training. What kind of punishment is acceptable? I appreciate the feedback. To those whom think I shouldn't own dogs.... I absolutely love my dogs however I feel a little overwhelmed and that is why I have asked for suggestions. Nicole I don't appreciate your comments as I love my dog and I spend as much time with him as I do my toddler. He is very well taken care of it is just when I am at work that these things happen. Then I come home having to clean up after his mess or repair blankets because he got bored during the day.

Any good ideas for a summer, outdoor wedding? It will be outside in the evening & the reception will be at night. I don't really have a theme as of right now nor do I have any colors picked out. I want lots of lighting & I want glittery, sparkly & shiny decor. I was thinking either an evening garden them or a "cool" (as in temperature) theme with cool colors like ice blue, white, silver, etc. Any ideas for decoration, colors, themes, flowers, etc. would be greatly appreciated!
