Garden Equipment Maintenance Contracts/Agreements? I guess when I asked about anyone having a Sears Maintenance Contracts, thought their stock with Sears would drop. I didn't get any answers so, let's try again. Is it worth paying big bucks for a 2 or 3 year maintenance contract/agreement, and have you received the service/repairs when you wanted it ? I don't work for Sears or any other company that services Garden equipment, just looking for input from people who have bought and used these types of services. Thanks ? I know there can't be that many do-it-yourself people out there. I won't make fun of your answers or mishaps, and don't want anyone else to, just need to get information. Have only one answer to my question in the last two days. Can't tell me with all the junk e-mails that I have read, there aren't good business type people out there to come up with what has taken place with them. Thanks

Have a John Deere 314 that cut 3 acres+ of grass and hauled since new in 1979 and engine lasted 27 years before being rebuilt becuase it was burning oil. Stopped into Gravely Ariens and just wonder how good they are. Still will never sell the old deere but just wanted to know thinking on another tractor.

Discounts on used garden equipment.? Found a Garden Tractor Mower at Sears Warehouse Outlet, the unit is used, has not been cleaned up. They want to sell the unit at 30% off the orginal selling price. The problem I have is that the tag on this unit shows that the tractor has been reduced in price twice now, yet they want to go back to the orginal price when it was new, this one is used and shows it. There are other tractors with less horse power that are new, and have been reduced to almost the same price as the one I would like to purchase. Does anyone have advice, besides walk away ? I don't know for certain how long they plan on keeping the 30% on this tractor and other tractors for sale. They are offering 30 to 50% discounts on all the items they have in the warehouse until June 8-2007.

How to stop kids walking along my garden wall and knocking down plants?I need a quick fix&needs 2 be LEGAL!!!? There is a 4ft wall that runs along the back of all the gardens in my street. There is also a fence that starts where the wall stops but it's a few inches away from the wall so it makes the wall perfect for walking right along the back of all the rear gardens. I have a few window boxes along my part of the wall with climbing plants to go up the fence (to give us a bit of privacy from the two blocks of flats behind it) but for the past few nights a couple of boys (around 10-11) have been getting in through someone elses garden up the street and walking right along the wall through all the gardens and take great pleasure in knocking my pots down along the way. I have tried to make the garden lovely for my family-especially the kids to enjoy and also have a summer house and a couple of sheds with expensive garden equipment and the kids bikes, a big slide and swings etc. I'm worried the little brats will do more than just knock my plants over-although this alone is driving me nuts! thanks barbed wire, glass and vandal paint etc. are all illegal. you can get done for them damaging themselves or their clothes while trespassing on Your property! Ridiculous but true!

How can I move my garden shed across my lawn without dismatling the shed or ruining my lawn? It measures approximately 6' x 4' and is very heavy. Removing tarmac to create a wild life garden? I am designing a japanese garden having a pond and a water fall. I require help to size various equipment? It will be a meandering pond with a small catchement area at the end where I intend to locate the pump and filter. The pond will be about 50' long width of max 10' and water to a depth of about 1'. The quantity of water will be about 4500 gallons Is EPDM liner the best? Filter capacity about 33gpm? What filteration method? pressure filter?Bio filter? UV filter? Pump same capacity as filter? The pump and the filter would run in a close circuit -taking the water out of the pond and returning it to the pond. For waterfall sperate system because the waterfall will not run very often. I will have a water fall with a breath of about 2'. Water pump 60gpm? Again another filter for water fall system? happy

Hornets nests, the big grey ones, looking for a safe way to get rid of them? We have one in the garden right next to equipment that we need to use. We have hosed the nest down, but they still keep coming back and trying to rebuild it. There are thousands of them and they actually chase you. There is one tiny East-facing window in my bedroom, and I can't leave it open during the day because I live in the ghetto. Will tools rust in a garden shed? I have a lot of hand tools and power tools. The problem is, we live in an apartment and now we have a baby on the way. I was thinking of getting one those big plastic garden storage units to put on my balcony to store camping/fishing equipment and the like. If I put my tools in there, will they be okay? I figure it would be like keeping them in a garage. When it rains, water never gets on our balcony. I want to be able to pick up a tool without getting a handful of oil. Spraying and wiping down tools every time I use them is way too much of a hassle. This was more of a question regarding how good the sheds are, not how to take care of tools. How do I make a cheap, fairly simple irrigation system for my garden using a 90 gallon plastic tank or pond? Need to know how to lay everything out and the equipment needed such as soaker hoses, etc. The plastic tank is a water storage tank I intend to collect rain water in but since that may not be enough, I could incorporate it to work with my rubber- lined fishpond so that it would be tank to pond to soaker hoses in garden. Gardening Tools have been have been robbed on several occasions, yesterday Garage brken into??? WE're so tired ot it. Now they stole our tools again and this time they stole them out of the locked garage. They broke the piece of metal that held the Lock. And we are all asleep here at 10:00pm or by 12:00pm.. so they usually come at 2 , 3 or 4 i guess. What can we do to stop these crooks?? Last time we called the police, this time too. But they keep coming. And it's been like a year since we got robbed the last time. SO it's kind of impossible to know when they are going to try it again. I could stay up all night and never sleep and check.. but that's unrealistic. What can we do? WE're not rich actually. There's many semi wealthy Americans around this neighborhood, but we are hispanic and my father does labor ( gardening).. but they always steal his expensive gardening tools. So today we have to spend 500 Plus to buy gardening equipment just so we can do the job. aaaarrgh.. why us? what can we do? Now the garage door will be open cause the lock mechanism is broken

Kindergarten auction ideas please? It is one of our biggest fund raisers. Each year each class makes a class project for the auction. We are in need of ideas and help for the project. We want to make it simple and fun. Outdoor items seem to do well (i.e. Potting benches, stepping stones, concrete benches, fountains, BBQ’s, gardening equipment, etc.). How can I track expenses split among roommates? I live with my boyfriend and his brother. We split some expenses, but not all of them. For instance, we split the electricity bill evenly, but my boyfriend and I buy food separately from his brother. My boyfriend and I also split the money when we go out to eat or to a movie, or for gardening equipment, etc. Generally, I pay for everything by credit card, record transactions on paper, then get paid back at the end of the month, but it's a lot of work to keep track of the tons of transactions we do every month. Is there a sofware package that would allow me to create several "accounts" for each person in the household, to easily keep track of who owes how much, and why?
